Is a credit check required when I sign up for Reach?

No, we do not require a credit check. However, we do place a hold on your credit card at the time of activation.

The hold amount is the estimated bill (plan + number of additional lines + taxes and fees) and is applied when you activate your Reach service. The hold is valid for 30 days and will be removed after the first bill. If you end up adding an additional line before your first bill, the hold will be recalculated to include all lines.

To activate your Reach service, we must be able to process the hold. Below you'll find examples of what you can expect for a hold:
